It is important to rapidly be able to expand your managed services business. In order to do this effectively, though, you need a tool in place that can reduce any management complexities, as well as give you full visibility into how your valuable resources are being leveraged. Luckily, at Veeam, we’ve developed the service provider console to do exactly that for you. There are certain powerful capabilities built into the new version of this interface that can not only automate license usage reporting, give you a bird’s eye view of all the data that’s being protected across the board, but also enable you to carve up a piece of this and allow your resellers to brand this with their own company headers and logos for their end users. The service provider console and highlight a few key areas that are going to drastically improve the user experience of your managed services business. So the first thing to start with is once you do the initial configuration and deployment in log on for the first time, you’ll be greeted with this overview screen. This is going to be a high level dashboard style view comprised of a few widgets running across the top bar that give you at a glance information that you need to know right away, such as any potential alarms that are going on across your client environments, monthly revenue numbers, protected virtual machines, computers, protected files. And then if you’re using Cloud Connect, backup and replication, you’ve got the number of cloud backups and cloud replicas. It also breaks down all the companies that you’re managing below, and then gives you all the statistics about each one. Now, you may be wondering, how do you get data to populate into the console, that’s certainly one of the first things that you should set up and assure is working properly to get full use of the console itself. So there’s a couple of different ways to go about doing this. So when you have a customer who’s using Veen, backup and replication, and they go to add you in as a service provider, there’s one important checkbox that they need to pay attention to when they’re finishing this wizard. And that’s at the bottom of this screen, where it enables Veen backup and replication to be managed remotely by the service provider.
